DAY 1 YOU'RE WELCOME
LOS ANGELES
After long hours as the crow flies, we meet at LAX airport. Direction the withdrawal of our car for the holidays. A beautiful Mustang dated 2016, at that moment we look at each other and we contemplate the luck to be both here, starting a crazy adventure. We wanted a typical adventure of the USA but at the same time atypical. During many weeks we searched on the web, the various sites of rentals of houses, apartments, villas but also hotels for our accommodation in Los Angeles. We wanted neither luxury and chic, we wanted something atypical! A house hit us in the eye. It is dated from the 20s, and the interior decoration is "artwork" "folkart" she spoke to us immediately. Full of charm, arts by Mr. Ernesto YERENA American-Mexican artist, Mr. Reuben Aaron MILLERi folk artist and Mr. Tubby BROWN Georgian artist who recycle objects in scrap metal, tin and found objects and are painted brightly. The house is also decorated with local Latino artists without forgetting the sweet atmosphere Frida KAHLO, Mexican painter, who spread there. We have been looking for this house for a long time, cherry on the cake, 10% of the money of the location goes to the non-profit organization "Mothers Without Borders", center of care for orphans in the country of ZAMBIA in EASTERN AFRICA.

DAY 2 WE'RE FAMOUS
LOS ANGELES - BEVERLY HILLS
Our first day begins, it is towards BEACHWOOD CAFE* that we go. A vintage style cafe near the SIGNAL HOLLYWOOD. We stay in the traditional but American homemade orange juice, bacon, sausages, pancakes, potatoes fries. It's delicious ! We have enough strength now to be able to go to the Hollywood Sign.
The Hollywood Sign is located on MONT LEE in the HOLLYWOOD HILLS area. To get there, two addresses are possible: 6272 Mulholland Hwy or 3000 Canyon Lake Drive. We take some pictures, take the time to look at the landscape and we rest. And then we drive 20 minutes direction HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD where it is easy to park. Hollywood Boulevard is very big, it would take hours to look at all the stars one by one, under a blazing sun it is difficult to stay there long time. We take the time to have a drink on Hollywood Boulevard between two streets. Do you know MELROSE AVENUE? The Arts District of LOS ANGELES Street, a shopping and entertainment district. Neighborhood where the limits of fashion are unknown. Between light fancy dresses and colorful prices, we can say that this district is one of the most original I have visited. I spotted a fur jacket over $ 2 000, I'll be back when the store goes into liquidation. At the end of the day, we went to BEVERLY HILLS and drove until RODEO DRIVE street to finally go GRIFFITH Observatory in Los Angeles to watch the beautiful sunset.

DAY 3 KISS ME BEACH
VENICE BEACH - SANTA MONICA - MALIBU
Ho VENICE BEACH, at 1h15 from our house. Do not count the hours of roads and hours blocked in traffic in the United States. Your pilot should have a crazy self-control, and you co-pilot too. One of the main reason for choosing a convertible was to take as much vitamin D over long distances. It's done, we were not disappointed. Feeling the sun warming your face, eating skittles sweets all the way and passing your hands through your lover's hair, the little things on the other side of the world are unique. Ladies and gentlemen, go to the coast of Venice Beach by bike, it's nice and cheap for one day. You will find something to eat, restaurants are not missing. We choose Larry's Restaurant, the name of Southern California's iconic artist, Larry BELL, recognized as a pioneer of the minimalism movement in Cali. Palm trees, sun, beach will wish you welcome. We take the car direction MALIBU, we go along SANTA MONICA where we take a digestive walk. We go to Malibu to visit the natural beaches including one of the wildest "EL MATADOR BEACH", we also return to PEPPERDINE University and we enjoy a cocktail at sunset on one of the private beaches of Malibu, PARADISE COVE BEACH COFFEE *.

DAY 4 NO FILTERS
CALICO - "STRIP HOUSE" LAS VEGAS
This morning, we wake up with a feel of nostalgia but so proud of our adventure. Blond's Gallery is used to do a feast for breakfast; Shortbread cakes, fruit salad made of bananas, apples, strawberries, raspberries and so on. Multi-vitamin juice for one and apple juice for the other, cherry yoghurt, milk, cereals. No, we are not 6, no, no, we are only 2. We leave in the direction of LAS VEGAS, on the way, we stop in a place unknown to tourists "THE CITY GHOST OF CALICO". A desert place, where mountains and red rocks are mingle. On the road the sun is still with us, the music pierces our eardrums, the windy hair and freedom is invasive. I advise you to put on your sneakers if you don't want to lose balance during the visit.

If I had been told that I was going to Las Vegas one day, I wouldn't have believed it. Visit luxury hotels; the gigantic "CAESARS PALACE" marbled on the ground with Roman architecture. We ate under an artificial blue sky and lost a few dollars at the Casino slot machines. We were able to admire "THE VENETIAN", hotel reconstituting a part of the city of VENICE in ITALY where you can find in the middle of this space a reproduction of the Venetian gondolas. Not to mention the district of PARIS where you will find the emblematic monuments of my beautiful French capital.

DAY 5 ON THE ROAD 66
LE VIEUX LAS VEGAS - SEVEN MAGIC MOUNTAINS
After spending the night in the neighborhood of OLD LAS VEGAS in a quiet, smart and safe hotel we take our breakfast and we go to Old Las Vegas. (Don't hesitate to write me for all the informations on the hotel.) We buy some souvenirs and we visit this curious place where you can eat if you want burgers over 9,500 calories! Total abuse for the body. Old Las Vegas is a mythical place, with street performers, souvenir shops and a "vintage" decor. We go visiting « The Seven Magic Mountains » by Mr Ugo RONDINONE’S and we come back at Los Angeles while passing by the magical road 66.

DAY 6 LA "FRENCH TOUCH"
SANTA BARBARA
My favorite city, the french touch of the holidays. SANTA BARBARA is one of the most beautiful places we have visited. The spirit of tranquility is there. Relax, take the time to live, enjoy the landscape. The beaches are less wild than Malibu but the beaches are also all clean, the sand is fine and it reminds us something ... Santa Barbara is also called the "AMERICAN RIVIEIRA" because the landscapes remember the edge of the Mediterranean Sea in France but also thanks to its art of living. We ate there by the sea, at BoatHouse *. Fresh produce, good tastes, sweet wines and great views. Visit the magnificent famous Santa Barbara chapels the "QUEEN OF THE MISSIONS" and the "SANTA BARBARA COUNTY COURTHOUSE" they are just 10 minutes away from each other. Finally we were wandering around downtown, State Street. "STATE STREET" thrills dreamers with colorful buildings, your taste buds with hospitable restaurants and compulsive shoppers with ubiquitous stores.
DAY 6 LA "FRENCH TOUCH"
SANTA BARBARA
Mon coup de coeur, la french-touch du séjour. SANTA BARBARA est l'un des plus beaux endroits que nous avons visité. L'esprit de tranquillité y est. Relax, vacances, prenez-y le temps de vivre, de savourez le paysage. Les plages sont moins sauvages qu'à Malibu mais les plages sont toutes aussi propres, le sable est fin et cela nous rappelle quelque chose...
Santa Barbara est aussi appelée la "RIVIEIRA AMÉRICAINE" car les paysages rappellent le bord de la mer Méditerranée mais aussi grâce à son art de vivre.
Nous y avons mangé face à la mer, au restaurant BoatHouse*, produits frais, de bons goûts, vins sucrés et vue délicieuse. Visitez les magnifiques chapelles réputées de Santa Barbara la « QUEEN OF THE MISSIONS » et la «SANTA BARBARA COUNTY COURTHOUSE» elles sont à peine à 10 minutes l'une de l'autre. Pour finir nous avons été nous balader dans le centre-ville, rue State. "STATE STREET" met en joie les rêveurs avec les bâtiments colorés, vos papilles avec les restaurants accueillants et les acheteurs compulsifs avec les magasins omniprésents.

DAY 7 TROPICAL VIBES
HUNTINGTON BEACH - BALBOA ISLAND - SAN DIEGO
What is the problem here? The fog is low. Wake up slowly but the end of the holidays is soon here.. After taking our breakfast we drive to HUNTINGTON BEACH "surf town"! The surfing atmosphere is there and the fog too. Hey it's cold here I putted on a big winter sweater ! Watch out for white sharks that are not far away. By car, we drive along the coast by BALBOA ISLAND to reach SAN DIEGO. We have located in San Diego a Hawaiian restaurant "BALI HAI RESTAURANT*", near the sea. We spend our happy hours, on the menu: spring rolls with crispy vegetables, wasabi fries, hawaiian tuna with cream cheese avocado, pork ribs cooked in the fire.

DAY 8 COLORS, CHIC & LOVE DAY
UNIVERSAL STUDIO - LOS ANGELES
We still finish in beauty. This last day is colorful. See you at the UNIVERSAL STUDIO but not only that, chic little walk to the roof top "THE STANDARD *" of Los Angeles. Great people like Karl Lagerfeld, Mariah Carey and Naomi Campbell know the place very well. Pool, deckchairs, appetizers are part of it!
